Download a flyer  This is an annual event is held in Tavistock Square.

The International Conscientious Objectors’ Day ceremony in London, will focus especially on the role of women war resisters.

Speakers will be Mia Tamarin, a recent Israeli CO, and Sheila Triggs of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (which started 100 years ago after the International Women’s Congress in The Hague).

Music provided by members of Raised Voices and the Red and Green choir. Flowers will be laid at the Conscientious Objectors’ stone in Tavistock Square. All welcome. 12 noon. Pax Christi is a member of the First World War Peace Forum

2AGM15 editedOur Annual General Meeting is open to all our members and supporters.  A great opportunity to hear about  our work, meet like-minded people and be inspired.

This year, we have  invited Ziad Hilal sj to be with us and speak about his work.  Ziad works with JRS  Homs Syria.

We will also award the 2015 Pax Christi Peace Award.  Archbishop Malcolm McMahon our National President will be with us.

The Things that Make for Peace: National J&P Conference @ The Hayes Conference Centre,

Pax Christi is a key supporter of this Annual Conference (Booking Form)   Pax Christi’s Pat Gaffney will  chair the Conference.  Speakers include Pro Paul Rogers, Schools of Social and International Studies, University of Bradford.  Fr Edu Gariquez, a Filipino religious leader and environmentalist.  The ‘Things that Make for Peace; recognises that poverty, injustice and environmental destruction are both causes and consequences of conflict, so that all the issues we engage with across the J&P network have their part to play in building a peaceful world.
