Pax Christi Annual General Meeting @ Our Lady and St Patrick Church

Chaired by Pat Gaffney, General Secretary of Pax Christi with Max Brookman-Byrne, Lecturer in Law in the College of Social Science, University of Lincoln. Max’s research focuses on international law and the use of force/conduct of hostilities and cutting edge research into the lawfulness of the use of armed drones .  Maya  Evans  a UK peace and human rights  activist.  Maya has made several visits to Afghanistan and among other things campaigns on armed drones and civil liberties

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Commemorations @ National

6 and 9 August mark the 73rd anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  Here you can download service outlines with prayers, litanies and readings for use on either day and other resources and background on nuclear weapons today, for stalls and events.

Organised by Pax Christi Liverpool the day will be led by Fr Gerry McFlynn, Chaplain to Irish prisoners and member of the Pax Christi Nonviolence Working Group.

World Week for Peace in Palestine & Israel 2018

This is a national week of action, prayer and study in support of the World Council of Churches World Week for Peace in Palestine & Israel.  The theme chosen by the UK Working Group for the week is ” Investing in Young People”.  Resources are being developed.
