We thought it important to have a peace & justice presence at the Women’s March on 21 January ( in support of similar in Washington and around the world). Join us, as an individual or group….. we have been in contact with WILPF, Women in Black, CND, Pax Christi members and others who all hope to join us.

Public act of repentance for preparations for Nuclear war (replacement of the Trident weapons system). Gather on the steps of St Luke’s, the bombed church and then process through city centre. Setting off from St Luke’s at 1.00pm
Join us for our annual Ash Wednesday Service of Repentance and Resistance at the home of the UK’s weapons of mass destruction.
We will start at the car park next to the South Gate where we will mark each other with ashes and then process with the cross to the South Gate accompanied by readings, prayers and hymns. GCOMS 2017 will run from 20 April to 23 April – we hope this may give an opportunity to spread actions and events into the week-end.
A great opportunity to raise the issue of military spending – asking the question, “does it make us safer”. Help others to think about this with a stall in your town centre or church. Highlight the opportunities that are lost when governments spend money on the military rather than on health, education, development, climate change and more…
