This is a national week of action, prayer and study in support of the World Council of Churches World Week for Peace in Palestine & Israel. The theme chosen by the UK Working Group for the week is ” Investing in Young People”. Resources are being developed.
We are inviting members, supporters, parishes to hold a prayer service or similar gathering on 2 October to commemorate the lives and witness of some of the Catholic Conscientious Objectors of the First World War.
We have produced a liturgy outline that can be used, together with some of the stories of the Catholic COs of the time.
