A special service of more than just Remembrance on the eve of the centenary of the ‘War to end all wars’. The guest speaker at this service will the Anglican theologian Andrew Shanks.
The Justice & Peace Commission are working with the Leeds Pax Christi Group to put on this event and prepare a special liturgy booklet that will be shared across parishes in the Leeds Diocese.

Organised by First World War Peace Forum : Anglican Pacifist Fellowship, Conscience: Taxes for Peace not War, Network for Peace, PAX Christi, Peace Pledge Union, Peace News, Quakers in Britain, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, Movement for the Abolition of War, Right to Refuse to Kill Group, and The Fellowship of Reconciliation.
Jim Forest will deliver a sermon during this Sunday Morning Eucharist.
Our popular Advent Peace Service held as usual in St Aloysius Church, Euston followed by our alternative Christmas market with fair-trade goods, goods from Palestine, Philippines and more.
For singers and musicians, there will be a rehearsal on 8 December between 2 – 4 pm in St Philomena’s Convent, 70-71 Euston Square NW1 1DJ (Corner of Euston Square and Grafton Place)
Music will be led by Julie McCann.

After Mass parishioners will have a chance to meet Bruce and gather more information on the work of Pax Christi.
