Extinction Rebellion have a rebellion action planned in London beginning on 7th October. A space on Victoria Embankment will be held by XRPeace and friends, a coalition of organisations for peace and justice, including Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. CND explain that ‘there will be workshops, teach-ins and exhibitions, choirs, musicians, comedians, academics, story tellers and speakers making the links between nuclear weapons, militarism and the climate emergency’.

A number of events at this time of Remembrance, concluding with Where Light Falls: Come and see powerful poetry, visuals and photography projected onto the canvas of Coventry Cathedral, telling the story of the city and its people. It’s a tale of destruction, recovery and resilience: from the medieval period through the destruction of the old cathedral during the Blitz, finishing with peace, reconciliation and the building of a modern city. Where Light Falls is free to attend and the illumination and projections will be repeated throughout each evening. Check website for dates and times.

Join the Peace Pledge Union’s national ceremony to remember all victims of war and commit ourselves to working for peace.
Every year white poppy wreaths are laid in memory of all victims of war of all nationalities, both civilian and military.
London Students for Yemen will be speaking about the ongoing conflict. More speakers and details to be announced in the coming days.
