Keep up-to-date with Pax Christi and other peace-related events. If you are organising a Pax Christi event in your own area send us details and we will post them here.
We are planning a virtual visit to places in Cambridge related to peace and social justice, led by Pax Christi member Arn Dekker.
The visit will be effected online, organised by Pax Christi and the Cambridge Justice and Peace group. Email us for the zoom link.
You might value participating in this event focussing on peace, in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday. It’s not just for people who know Cambridge!

The Conference of Religious invite you to this livestreamed event: details.
Follow the service with the liturgy sheet.

This year our Advent Peace service will be an online event. There will be music, song, powerful readings, messages for Palestine, and a ‘virtual’ marketplace afterwards. We are grateful that Julie McCann will be coordinating the music for us. Save the date!
To register for the service please go to: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/pax-christi-advent-peace-service-tickets-129471232943

Together we will gather on zoom to pray, share and reflect on Pope Francis’ message ‘A Culture of Care as a Path to Peace’. We will explore what this message calls us to do as peacemakers and how we respond to the call to live nonviolently.
Have a look at our resources page for more information on Peace Sunday 2021: https://paxchristi.org.uk/peace-sunday-2021/
We are working on creative new ideas for these unusual times. Look out for details soon. We hope you will be able to help us to share the message and invite donations to support our work.

An on-line event, open to all
The Pax Christi group of the Leeds Diocese and the J&P Commission are collaborating to deliver a 5 week course about active nonviolence and what this means in the context of living out our lives as Catholic Christians in the 21st century.
This pre-course session via Zoom will be led by Pat Gaffney, former General Secretary of Pax Christi in the UK and a member of some of the working groups of the global Catholic Nonviolence Initiative.
The 5 sessions of the course will take place weekly at 7pm starting on Tuesday 16 February.
Not sure about nonviolence?
What is it?
what has it to do with Catholic Christianity in the twenty-first century,
didn’t we Catholics sort this all out years ago with the Just War theory?
Well, register for this event to get a glimpse of what the 5 week course will be about and see if it might be of interest.
We hope that people can sign up for all five of the sessions that follow this one.
