The Pax Christi group of the Leeds Diocese and the J&P Commission are collaborating to deliver a 5 week course about active nonviolence and what this means in the context of living out our lives as Catholic Christians in the 21st century.
This pre-course session via Zoom will be led by Pat Gaffney, former General Secretary of Pax Christi in the UK and a member of some of the working groups of the global Catholic Nonviolence Initiative.
The 5 sessions of the course will take place weekly at 7pm starting on Tuesday 16 February.
Not sure about nonviolence?
What is it?
what has it to do with Catholic Christianity in the twenty-first century,
didn’t we Catholics sort this all out years ago with the Just War theory?
Well, register for this event to get a glimpse of what the 5 week course will be about and see if it might be of interest.
We hope that people can sign up for all five of the sessions that follow this one.
Five weekly sessions every Tuesday, experientially based, introducing nonviolence from a Catholic perspective.
