Pax Christi Merseyside are holding a vigil in Support of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons on 13th January from 12PM-1PM.
Meet outside the Crypt of the Metropolitan Cathedral, vigil to take place outside Blackwells and will include leafletting to spread the word about the illegality of Nuclear Weapons.

Climate Change, Arms and Conflict: What does security mean in a time of climate crisis?
The Middlesbrough Justice and Peace Commission is delighted to welcome Aisling Griffin as the speaker for their January ’22 meeting.
Despite the undeniable contribution of the world’s militaries to climate change, it’s a topic that’s not often discussed. This interactive, online session will be exploring how climate change, conflict, military emissions and arms are all interconnected. We will consider what security means in the face of the climate crisis, and reflect on how we can respond as people of faith.
The meeting will take place via Zoom on Saturday January 15th between 11.00a.m. and 12.30p.m.

St John Vianney Live Simply group invite you to join their peace walk on Peace Sunday which explores the story of First World War Conscientious Objectors in Haringey. Meet at the Salisbury pub in Green Lanes, London N4 1JX on Sunday 16th January at 12.15pm Bring drink and snack. The walk (mainly on pavements) will last approximately 1hr 20 mins. Pope Francis has written: ‘I am following with concern the increase of tensions that threaten to inflict a new blow to peace in Ukraine and call into question the security of the European Continent. Therefore, I propose that next Wednesday, 26 January be a day of prayer for peace’.
