Pope Francis calls for day of Prayer for Peace

Pope Francis has written: ‘I am following with concern the increase of tensions that threaten to inflict a new blow to peace in Ukraine and call into question the security of the European Continent. Therefore, I propose that next Wednesday, 26 January be a day of prayer for peace’.

Online Prayer Vigil: Prayers for Peace in Ukraine

Anglican Pacifist Fellowship will be joining in a day of prayers for peace in the Ukraine with an online prayer vigil via Zoom at 8pm GMT on Wednesday 26th January. Full details here

Holocaust Memorial Day

Holocaust Memorial Day is a time to remember the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution and in the genocides which followed including Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. Resources available on Catholic Church England and Wales website.

Liverpool: Vigil for Peace

Pray for Peace

After the overnight events in Ukraine, Christian CND has called an emergency prayer meeting for this evening, Thursday 24 February, 8pm. A chance to pray for peace and reflect on the events of the past 24 hours and beyond. Many will appreciate the time to be with likeminded people, simply just to sit in silence. Register here
