 This is a three-hour FREE workshop being hosted by the Balfour Project on the morning of Saturday 25 June from 10.00 till 13.00 UK time.
 
The workshop is primarily for secondary school history teachers but anyone interested in the teaching of Palestine – Israel is very welcome to join us. The sessions will include short presentations, discussions and Q & As.
 
Our objective is to persuade more schools to teach about Israel – Palestine, because of the importance of the subject in Britain’s past, present and future, and its continuing importance to international human rights, international law, peace, justice and equality.

Pax Christi International’s Catholic Nonviolence Initiative and the JPIC Commission of UISG/USG invite you to pray together in a special way for our family in the Holy Land. This one-hour Zoom event will include music and prayers, with photos and stories of peacemakers and advocates for nonviolence.

The event will be English, with translation in French, Spanish and Arabic.

The Work of our Hands? Reconciliation in Turbulent Times

A conference organised by the Fellowship of Reconciliation and Church and Peace at Bull Street Quaker Meeting House, Birmingham offering ‘a chance to reflect on the world as we find it, to think about actions we can take and how to care for ourselves and others while following the long path to reconciliation’. Keynote Speakers: Rev Barbara Glasson, Dr Justine Huxley.

Everyone is welcome at this event at Coventry Cathedral, where there will be music, poetry, and opportunity to make cranes of peace.

Timetable: Taiko Drumming performance – 1pm to 2pm Rememberance Service – 2pm to 3pm. Chat and farewells – 3pm to 3.30pm

The Lord Mayor of Coventry, a representative of the Embassy of Japan, and the community from Japan in Coventry will be present.
