The World Council of Churches (WCC) invites World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel, highlights “Faith, Hope and Love in Action”
As the 2022 World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel approaches in September, the World Council of Churches (WCC) invites people and churches all over the world to pray, advocate, and stand in solidarity with people in the Holy Land.
“The annual world week for peace in Palestine and Israel offers an opportunity for all of us to engage in active hope towards ending the occupation,” said WCC acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca.
The World Council of Churches invites people and churches all over the world to pray, advocate, and stand in solidarity with people in the Holy Land under the theme “Faith, Hope and Love in Action: Towards Justice in Israel Palestine.”
West Midlands CND hopes to organise a minibus/coach to Lakenheath for the 1.00pm protest demanding that the UK Government rejects requests by Washington to host nuclear weapons in Suffolk. This will probably involve leaving Birmingham at about 9.30am and returning at around 6pm and will probably be in co-operation with SCANS (South Cheshire and North Staffordshire CND ). CND and supporters are returning to Lakenheath for another protest this September! They are demanding that the UK Government rejects any such request by Washington to host these weapons.
