Prayer vigil for peace – Guildford @ St Joseph's Catholic Church

A morning of prayer a vigil for peace.

To commemorate the ‘War to end all wars’.

  • 10.00 Mass for peace
  • 10.40 Reflection led by John Williams and MIchael Hornsby-Smith
  • 11.00 Silent Meditation
  • 11.50 Concluding prayer by Karen Nethercott.

Remembrance is not Enough – Leeds event @ Mill Hill Chapel
Nov 10 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

A special service of more than just Remembrance on the eve of the centenary of the ‘War to end all wars’. The guest speaker at this service will the Anglican theologian Andrew Shanks.

The Justice & Peace Commission are working with the Leeds Pax Christi Group to put on this event and prepare a special liturgy booklet that will be shared across parishes in the Leeds Diocese.

1.00 gathering in Tavistock Square, London WC1.  A ceremony of Remembrance and Peace 100 years after the First World War.

2 – 5.00 @Friends House, drop in and meet peace activists and find out about current peace campaigns.  Cafe, live music, films, books and more…

Peace service for Remembrance, Liverpool @ The Peace Garden

Members of Pax Christi Liverpool will join in a peace service and wreath-laying even  in the Peace Garden.
Following this, at 1.00pm there will be a reading of names of Conscientious Objectors who were detained at Walton Prison, Hornby Road, Liverpool
Organised by Merseyside Peace Network and supported by Pax Christi Liverpool

Pax Christi Advent Peace Service and Christmas Market @ St Aloysius Church

Our popular Advent Peace Service held as usual in St Aloysius Church, Euston followed by our alternative Christmas market with fair-trade goods, goods from Palestine, Philippines and more.

For singers and musicians, there will be a rehearsal on 8 December between 2 – 4 pm in  St Philomena’s Convent, 70-71 Euston Square NW1 1DJ (Corner of Euston Square and Grafton Place)

Music will be led by Julie McCann.
