This week is set aside by the World Council of Churches.; ‘Church organisations, congregations, and people of faith are encouraged to bear a common witness by participating in worship services, educational events, and acts of support in favour of peace and justice for Israelis and Palestinians’.

Pax Christi will be preparing some resources. Events will be taking place around England & Wales. Can you organise something?
Making active nonviolence our way of life in the Church and the world.
The Catholic Nonviolence Initiative (CNI) is a project of Pax Christi International. The CNI invites you to study, pray, act and celebrate the power of nonviolence.
We are encouraging solidarity actions around the globe to promote and celebrate nonviolence between 21 September (International Day of Peace) and 2 October (International Day of Nonviolence and Gandhi’s birthday). Our hope is that this becomes an annual event.

Pax Christi England & Wales will prepare resources. Think about how you can help share the message of nonviolence! Talk to us!
We are planning a virtual visit to places in Cambridge related to peace and social justice, led by Pax Christi member Arn Dekker.
The visit will be effected online, organised by Pax Christi and the Cambridge Justice and Peace group. Email us for the zoom link.
You might value participating in this event focussing on peace, in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday. It’s not just for people who know Cambridge!

The Conference of Religious invite you to this livestreamed event: details.
Follow the service with the liturgy sheet.

This year our Advent Peace service will be an online event. There will be music, song, powerful readings, messages for Palestine, and a ‘virtual’ marketplace afterwards. We are grateful that Julie McCann will be coordinating the music for us. Save the date!

Together we will gather on zoom to pray, share and reflect on Pope Francis’ message ‘A Culture of Care as a Path to Peace’. We will explore what this message calls us to do as peacemakers and how we respond to the call to live nonviolently.
