Campaigns centred around Israel and Palestine

71st anniversary of the Nakba (Arabic for “catastrophe”)

The 15th May 2019 is the 71st anniversary of the Nakba (Arabic for catastrophe). We commemorate the expulsion of more than 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and the destruction of over 400 Palestinian towns and villages to make way for the State of Israel. Around the world there will be activities in support of the Palestinian people, especially those who, after more than seven decades, remain refugees. There will be a press release from Pax Christi International on 15th May and here in the office, we plan to have a ‘silent circle’ at 11 o’clock.

Urgent action needed to protect Cremisan Valley

Once again the people and lands of the Cremisan valley are under threat.  Bulldozers have begun to up-root ancient olive trees and take land and private property in order to continue the construction of the Separation Barrier.  We urge you to write now to the FCO and to the Israeli Ambassador to express your concern. Israel must not be allowed to get away with this immoral and illegal behaviour Action & Prayer  resource.    More information here
