On Sunday 29th September, as part of the Catholic Nonviolence Days of Action, Pax Christi International’s Catholic Nonviolence Initiative (CNI) is launching the Catholic Nonviolence Institute .
The Institute will be predominately virtual with a small presence in Rome and its mission will be to make nonviolence research, resources and experience, more accessible to Catholic Church leaders, communities and institutions in order to deepen Catholic understanding of and commitment to the practice of Gospel nonviolence.

Catholic Institute for Nonviolence Inauguration and Pax Christi 2023 Peace Award Ceremony
During the event, the 2023 Pax Christi Peace Award will be presented to the Parents’ Circle – Family Forum (PCFF), a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of families who have lost relatives to the ongoing conflict.
