In the past it was the Church, but today the media informs and educates, influences public opinion and standards, suggests a moral code and reflects modern society. Learn how to engage with press, broadcasters and news-websites and get your message across.
Are you disappointed when journalists do not cover your event? Are you nervous when asked to do an interview on the telephone? Do you use and give information to the news-websites?
Journalist, Ellen Teague will lead us through a series of 3 workshops run by campaigning journalist, Paul Donovan, experienced radio interviewee Marigold Bentley, and Henrietta Cullinan from the Christian website, Ekklesia, where you will be able to build confidence by learning and practising skills such as writing targeted press-releases, taking part in radio interviews and getting your event on to the news- websites, among others.
