Saturday 28 October, 10.45 – 4.45, Good Shepherd Centre, New Road, Mytholmroyd HX7 5EA
Join Leeds J&P and Leeds Pax Christi for a day to step away from the concerns of everyday life and reflect on how we can live a life of nonviolence in the way that Jesus related to other people. In order to do this we need to re-look at the Gospels and see them in a fresh light and then reflect on what this might mean for how we live out our own lives today.
This Autumn Day of Reflection is organised by the J&P Commission working in partnership with the Pax Christi Group in the Leeds Diocese. Guiding us in a new reading of Scripture and reflection will be Sr Bernie Roche.
The day will include some short talks to stimulate our thinking with time set aside for private reflection, but also the opportunity to share thoughts with others.
As with most of our events, there is no charge to attend but a voluntary collection will be taken on the day. Everyone coming is asked to bring some food that can form part of a shared lunch.
