Nagasaki Day – Interfaith Peace Walk

Following the Franz Jägerstätter service at Church of the Holy Apostles, Pimlico on the 9th August, all are invited to join the annual Interfaith Peace Walk from the church to the London Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park for a Lantern-Lighting Ceremony (NOTE: the lanterns will not be floated on the Thames) commemorating the 79th anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki and all wars.

The ceremony seeks to reflect on the horrors of war in an atomic age, the suffering of the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and to give an opportunity to pray together for peace and harmony between all peoples and nations.

All are very welcome to offer flowers and incense.
