CAFOD alongside Christian Aid, Tearfund and others, is organising an event in solidarity with the mass event being organised by Extinction Rebellion in Westminster on Friday 21 April. More here .
- They’ll be meeting at St John’s Church, Waterloo (London, SE1 8TY) from 11:15am.
- At 12:00pm, they’ll hold a short service where to pray for leaders to take the decisions needed to stop supporting fossil fuels and end the climate emergency.
- Then they’ll undertake a short pilgrimage to Parliament. They hope to leave written prayers at the door at the door of the Shell building in Waterloo
- When they reach Westminster, they will join thousands of other people calling for fossil fuels to be consigned to history.
