Canon Rob Esdaile will be speaking at St. Martin of Tours Church in Epsom, Surrey on Remembrance Sunday, 12th November at 6.30pm.

St. Martin has been described as “the first Christian Conscientious Objector” and his feast-day became Armistice Day when the guns fell silent on the Western Front in WW1 in 1918. Canon Rob will be exploring whether St. Martin can speak to us today in a world riven by armed conflict and whether our responses as Christians to questions of peace and war differ from the opinions of those who don’t share our faith.

Admission is free and refreshments will be available from 6pm. You can find the church’s location on their website here www.stmartinsepsom.org/find-us/
